What's New in 2026?

Have a read of all the exciting workshops and tasters we have planned for Spring term 2026!

Starting of course, with our staples:

Little MPYT is our youngest cohort of 10-13 years. It is packed full of drama games and improv, as well and teaching the core skills to prepare members for Big MPYT. It runs every Tuesday 5.30-6.30pm.

Big MPYT is our core theatre group for 14-24 years, and runs every Tuesday in term time, 7-9pm. If you want to get involved in a show or exciting project, this is the place to be.

MPYT+ is our strand for older members who crave the arts in rural Powys. It is for 19-29 years and runs on the last Sunday of the month, 3.30-5.30pm. Our members have taken walkabout theatre to Green Man Festival, performed for train passengers in a private show, and plan to do much more fun stuff!

We also have loads of exciting new ventures this Spring term:

Rain Theatre: We're piloting a new strand of MPYT for adults with additional needs to come and enjoy a safe space. Led by Bethan Dear, this strand will hopefully run long into the furture.

Taster Sessions: We're running loads of free sessions this term - we'll be in Primary schools throughout Mid Powys with free workshops for year 5&6 students. Plus - we're back in the Hanging Gardens Lanidloes to provide fun workshops for the people of Llani ages 10-24!

Scenic Lines Theatre Project: We're collaborating with Mess Up the Mess Youth Theatre and Yello Brick Theatre Company to create a fun, immersive performance piece with the vision to performing it on the Heart of Wales Train Line.
