Melody Watson - MPYT Co-ordinator

Hello! I'm Melody, a former member of MPYT, and I've returned to Powys to co-ordinate the whole operation! It's really exciting for me to be back, as MPYT played a huge role in my decision to study Drama at university in Bristol.

I am currently assisting Big and Little MPYT sessions with Ralph (which consist of a lot of laughs), and I'm also in charge of the social media, so you'll see me popping up all over instagram! I'm on a mission to engage the young people of Powys in theatre and the arts, because it MPYT was so important to me growing up and I want to see it continuing to help young people navigate the struggles of growing up.

I’m also a member of the MPYT+ group, and have led Roaming Theatre projects at Green Man festival and other local events.

In autumn 2025, I was Assistant Director for 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night -Time', and I'll be co-directing our 2026 show.

I feel really lucky to watch in real time how MPYT shapes young lives for the better.
